Practice rates at these facilities ONLY apply to official Katy Dusters practice times. If you go on your own, you will not be eligible for these rates; and you may need to pay membership fees.

THURSDAYS - Trap/Skeet
Skill: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced
Location: American Shooting Centers in Houston (MAP)
Time: 4:20 pm.
Typical practice is 50 targets (roughly $15). Trap/Skeet Cost: $6.70 per round.
NOTE: Two locations at ASC... Sporting Clays = go left after entrance; Trap/Skeet = go right after entrance.
SUNDAYS - Sporting Clays/Trap/Skeet
Skill: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced
Location:Greater Houston Sports Club in Houston (MAP)
Time: 1 pm.
Sporting Clays Cost:$0.35 per target for Sporting Clays. Typical practice is 50 targets (roughly $15). Trap/Skeet Cost: $5 per round. Typical practice is two rounds ($10).
SUNDAYS – Sporting Clays (and others)
Skill: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced
Location: Westside Sporting Grounds in Katy (MAP)
Time: 2:30 pm
Cost: $0.35 per target for Sporting. Typical practice is 50 targets (roughly $10-15). Katy Dusters discount = range fees.
SCTP Houston Tour AND In-House Tournaments
Houston Area SCTP Tournaments are our main team events. All athletes who qualify are expected to participate. Events typically run from 9 am until 5 pm, with opportunities for lunch. Estimated cost per athlete: $100 per tournament, 200+ rounds of ammo.
Katy Dusters In-House Tournaments
These “In-House” tournaments are designed to help our younger and less experienced athletes learn how tournaments run as well as gain confidence in preparation for SCTP tournaments. These happen during practice times and are treated with the same intensity as tournaments. Estimated cost per athlete: 100+ rounds of ammo, targets ($40).

Practice Locations
West Side Sporting Grounds is one of our practice venues for sporting clays and 5-stand practices! Location
Hot Wells shooting range allows us complete use of one of their fields for our monday practices. We also compete in their skeet leagues as a team of 5! Location
American Shooting Centers in Houston is our Thursday location. In addition to being able to practice Skeet, Trap, 5 Stand, Sporting Clays, ASC hosts a tournament for us every now and then. Location
Greater Houston Gun Club is a private gun club that has graciously allowed us to obtain a team membership, meaning we can hold either trap, skeet, or sporting clays practices at their facility! Location
